Hi! I'm Ms. Wanders, the counselor at Lenart. I'm excited for this upcoming school year and look forward to building a relationship with you and your child!
As School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I will be collaborating with you, teachers, staff, and outside organizations to ensure we can support your child in the best way possible! Some of my responsibilities at Lenart include: weekly large-group lessons with each class (various social-emotional topics); small group guidance; individual student support.
A bit about me: I grew up outside Dayton, Ohio and later attended Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education. I moved to Chicago shortly after to get my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Loyola University. I loved the city so much that I’ve been here the past 9 years! In my free time you’ll see me running, eating tacos, taking a walk by the lake, reading, or hanging out with friends.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by email, phone, or schedule a meeting. My email is [email protected] and my phone number is 773-535-3730. I look forward to hearing from you!
